Airplane Carrying Senegal President Makes Emergency Landing In Spain

President And Entourage Resume Trip On Other Plane

A Boeing 727 private plane carrying 46 passengers, including Senegal's President Abdoulaye Wade, 12 of his ministers, and eight crew members, made an emergency landing in Spain on Saturday because of a problem with a cockpit window, Senegalese government officials told the Spanish news agency Europa Press in Dakar.

The plane had been on its way from Paris to Dubai, but returned to Palma, Majorca, where it had made a stopover, after the pilot detected the problem.

The president and his entourage resumed their trip to Dubai on another aircraft, which arrived several hours later from Casablanca in Morocco, officials and an AENA spokesman said.
