NARA Announces BizAv Scholarships

National Aircraft Resale Association’s 2nd Annual Business Aviation Scholarship Program Awards More Than $23,000 To Five Students

The National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA) Business Aviation Scholarship program has awarded $23,820 in scholarships to five deserving students, the association said in a news release. NARA initiated the scholarship awards last year with donated funds coming from Brokers/Dealers and Products and Services members.

The NARA Business Aviation Scholarship program was established for university students seeking a career in Business Aviation and, specifically, within the corporate aircraft Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal and Insurance community. The scholarship winners are chosen from hundreds of applicants that are full-time graduate and under-graduate students majoring in Corporate Aviation Management, Aerodynamics, Aircraft Systems, Aviation Safety, Finance, Business Marketing, Economics and/or studies that relate to Aviation Business and Management.

“Our NARA Scholarship program is gaining momentum with our funds growing more than 40% from last year,” commented Anthony “Tony” Kioussis, President of Asset Insight, Inc. and Chairman of the NARA scholarship committee. “There are so many deserving aviation students out there, we are honored to provide these scholarship awards to a few of them and proud to be investing in future leaders of our industry.”

The five 2015 scholarship winners include: Michael Adams, Cory Clifft, and Louie Marquez, who are all working on graduate degrees at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University; Chip Shriver, seeking a graduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University; and Alexander Martin, a Senior at Florida Institute of Technology.

“On behalf of all the NARA members, we congratulate these outstanding students and we are very proud to help support them in their future aviation endeavors,” stated Brad Harris, NARA Chairman and CEO of Dallas Jet International.
