Daher, GAMA Renew Joint Internship Program

Developing The Next Generation of Aviation Professionals

Daher Aircraft and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association joined together in renewing their unique international internship program for a third consecutive year. The initiative provides four students, two from North America and two from Europe, the opportunity to gain industry experience and exposure through direct interactions during the eight-week exchange.

Two North American interns are assigned to Daher’s Tarbes, France, headquarters and production facility for TMB aircraft. The two European interns are assigned to the company’s operation in Sand Point, Idaho, where Kodiak airplanes are manufactured.

The four interns have numerous opportunities to interact with workers, managers, pilots, and aircraft owners/operators. They also get the envious assignment of supporting Daher’s team during its week-long participation and display at the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the world’s largest fly-in and air show.

The internship covers all travel, lodging, and living expenses during the exchange period.

Nicolas Chabbert, CEO of Daher Aircraft said, “General aviation continues to evolve rapidly, and it’s essential that we inspire the next generation to chart its future. Whether it’s advancing sustainability, rethinking global supply chains, or cultivating a broader pool of skilled talent, today’s students will shape tomorrow’s solutions. The internship with GAMA provides an exceptional insight into an industry in transformation.”

James Viola, the President and CEO of GAMA added, “Our joint internship’s success demonstrates the value of exposing students to the breadth of careers in general aviation. The professionalism and drive shown by the past years’ interns – including one who has now joined Daher Aircraft as an apprentice – underscores how immersive experiences can help strengthen the sector’s global talent pipeline.”

Applicants for the internship should be between 21 and 24 years of age with U.S., Canadian, or European citizenship, and enrolled as a full-time student in an associate, undergraduate, or graduate degree program. Selections are based on applicant submissions of a resume and cover letter, plus a 40-second video introducing the candidate and describing their expectations for the internship. The deadline for submissions is December 28, 2025, and selections will be announced by Daher and GAMA at the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo on April 14, 2026 in Lakeland, Florida.
