Gulfstream to Build Service Center in Mesa, Arizona

$70 Million Investment in Growing Gateway Airport

Gulfstream has announced its intention to become the newest tenant at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, with a 70 million dollar investment into a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility.

Expected to open in 2023, the station will be built with an eye towards sustainability, expected to achieve LEED Silver certification.

The Arizona service center will further expand Gulstream’s Customer Support’s growing network, adding to recent expansions in Savannah, Georgia; Van Nuys, California; Fort Worth, Texas; Palm Beach, Florida; Appleton, Wisconsin; and Farnborough, England. The network supports 3,000 aircraft worldwide, offering quick, reliable service to Gulfstream clientele suitable for their jets. The expansion falls in line with industry trends, as the business aviation sector expands to meet increasing demand for private air transit amidst increasing hassle flying on commercial service. Gulfstream has invested considerable funding into their efforts this year, committing $500 million to their Savannah expansion alone. The addition at Gateway will likely prove to be a wise one, in time.

The airport has seen increasing popularity as a high-throughput and easier choice when flying into Phoenix, Arizona. With record passenger numbers in Summer 2021, the secret seems to be out, and the airport is building its name as a go-to hub for maintenance and repair.

“In the past decade, as our fleet has grown, we have invested to create a network of modern facilities to provide our customers with outstanding service and support when and where they need it,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream.

“How Gulfstream serves our customers is just as important to us as how our aircraft perform. The addition of our new service center in Mesa gives us an additional facility in the Western U.S. and represents our commitment to ensuring that our customers not only purchase the best in the world, they also receive the best service in the world.”
