Meets FAA Level 6 Training Device Requirement
Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, has taken delivery of a
Frasca-built Embraer Phenom Flight Training Device (FTD). The FTD
is designed to meet FAA Level 6 flight training device requirements
and is equipped with actual Garmin Prodigy as found in the
aircraft. A high fidelity digital sound system (TruSound), TruFeel
control loading, auto-testing, Graphical Instructor Statin (GISt)
and Frasca’s visual system (TruVision) with 220° display
system are included. The FTD has been installed in the
Holleman-Niswonger Simulator Laboratory at Purdue and will be used
in their professional pilot training program along with several
previously installed Frasca devices.

Frasca has also delivered two Phenom Synthetic Training Devices
(STDs) to the Finnish Aviation Academy training facility in Pori,
Finland. Both devices have been qualified JAR FSTD Level 2 and FNPT
II MCC and include a 220° visual system, TruVision Global.
