This Event Will Feature Over 20 Forum Sessions And 48 Exhibitors Along With Multiple Static Aircraft Displays
The Minnesota Pilots Association would like to invite anyone who can get there to attend the 2nd annual Great Minnesota Aviation Gathering. This event will be held Friday April 10th and Saturday April 11th in the Golden Wings Museum located at Anoka County Airport in Blaine, MN.
They have announced that the FAA will be on hand with their Portable Reduced Oxygen Training Environment (PROTE). Pilots are invited to take advantage of the PROTE training device to safely simulate the potential dangers of high altitude operations. The PROTE experience is included with admission to the event and there is no additional charge for those choosing to participate.
In addition to over 20 sessions and 48 exhibitors, there will be multiple static aircraft displays, on-site refreshments and free admission to the Golden Wings Museum’s spectacular collection of aircraft from the 1920’s and 1930’s. On Saturday, they are planning to have the P-51D Mustang Sierra Sue II on display. This soon to be award winning combat veteran is fresh out of a rivet level restoration and many consider her to be the most authentically restored Mustang anywhere.
Numerous forms will be held regarding all aviation subjects and AOPA President, Mark Baker, will be there to provide an AOPA Update. Check the link below to see a complete list of the various forum topics. A list of the exhibitors may also be found on the Minnesota Pilots Association website.
Admission is free for members of the MN Pilots Association and $5 per day to non-members.
