Arrives In Style At Dubai Airshow On Speedy Flight From Phuket

Gulfstream Aerospace announced that its newly certified ultralong-range G800 achieved its eight city-pair speed record on its flight from Phuket, Thailand to the Dubai Airshow 2025 in the United Arab Emirates. The feat was accomplished in 5 hours 38 minutes.

This latest record brings the city-pair speed record total for the Gulfstream fleet to over 760, and includes flights from Miami, Florida, to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 12 hours 33 minutes and Florence, Italy, to Savannah, Georgia, in 9 hours 33 minutes.

The G800 is on display in Dubai along with the G700, which just exceeded 90 city-pair speed records. Recent noteworthy flights by the G700 include Dubai to Sydney in 12 hours 50 minutes, Jakarta, Indonesia, to Lagos, Nigeria, in 12 hours 41 minutes.

The G800 is the longest-range aircraft in the Gulfstream fleet, capable of 8,200 nm / 15,186 km at its long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85, and 7,000 nm / 12, 964 km at its high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90.

Flying at 41,000 ft / 12,497 m MSL, the G800’s cabin is a low 2,840 ft / 866 m. The aircraft has 100% fresh air in the cabin, a plasma ionization air purification system, and 16 Gulfstream panoramic oval windows. Both the G800 and G700 are powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and feature the Gulfstream advanced aerodynamic wing and high-speed winglets.
