Source: Pat Maio, one of thousands of passengers who experienced travel delays upwards of four hours Friday, due to what the FAA termed a cascading failure throughout its air traffic control system computer network. The glitch, which hit the northeast region but affected flights throughout the country, was actually repaired by late Friday morning... but its effects lingered throughout Friday afternoon and evening... just in time to throw a wrench into what is traditionally an extremely busy time for air travel.
