Midair Over Louisiana

Cropduster, C150 Tangle On Approach

A Gulfstream Schweizer A164 collided with a Cessna 150 on approach to the airport in Jennings, LA, Tuesday and both aircraft plunged to the ground. Amazingly, neither pilot was hurt.

Less than three feet separated the cropduster's prop from the windscreen of the Cessna, according to local media reports.

Local law officers said both aircraft were approaching the field from the north, both aiming to land on a grass runway. Neither apparently saw the other.

The mishap is under investigation by the FAA.
