Miracle Flights Coordinates 692 Medical Flights In June

Has Flown Nearly 57 Million Miles Since Being Founded In 1985

Miracle Flights, ended the month of June with 692 coordinated medical flights to hospitals and doctors around the country.

Since 1985, Miracle Flights has provided families with free commercial airline tickets so that seriously ill patients may receive specialized medical care and second opinions from experts throughout the U.S.

Each year, the nonprofit helps more and more families, and last month reached an exciting milestone -- 100,000 flights. To date, the nonprofit has coordinated 101,862 flights, with nearly 57,000,000 total miles flown.

Mark E. Brown, CEO of Miracle Flights, said he is pleased with how far the nonprofit has come and the lives that have been impacted along the way.

"While we all wish these flights were unnecessary, Miracle Flights is proud to have served so many families. They inspire us every day to continue to fight for equal access to medical care. We want to encourage everyone to help us spread the word about our cause and make sure no family has to deplete their funds in order to afford airfare to the right doctor."
