Pilot, Instructor Not Injured In WV Landing Accident

Officials Say Motorglider Landed Wheels-Up

Officials in Wheeling, WV say the pilot of a motorized glider became the latest member of the "Those Who Have" club on Sunday afternoon.

The FAA is investigating, but it appears the pilot of the Aeromot 200-S simply didn't get his gear down and locked in time. The pilot was reportedly flying with a flight instructor, according to WTRF-7... adding embarrassment all the way around.

The incident closed the runway at Wheeling Ohio County Airport for about three hours, but no one was inuured, and damage to the glider was described as minimal.
