It's Here! AOPA Expo 2005 Begins Thursday

And What A Show It'll Be...

Aero-News Network is on the ground -- and, of course, in the air --  around Tampa, FL to bring you complete coverage of the events, goings-on, rumors, and of course the airplanes at AOPA Expo 2005.

Our team of trained lunatics -- um, journalists -- is waiting eagerly for the gates to open Thursday morning at 10 am, and we'll be there until the final person is out the door Saturday afternoon at 4 pm. Last we heard, we will not be responsible for cleanup afterwards -- but that is subject to change...

This year, especially, promises to be a spectacular event... and not just for AOPA (that's a given) but also for Aero-News. We have selected AOPA Expo 2005 to fully unveil our Aero-News Aero-Casts, a daily series of reports ranging from two-minute news blurbs, to an expanded recap of the day's events, as well as in-depth reports from the field as we speak with the people making the news we're here to report, and YOU will want to know about.

We caught a sneak peek of the setup preparations Wednesday (thanks, Kathleen!) and while crews worked frantically to get their exhibits ready for the crowds, believe us when we say we saw some NEAT stuff... that we'll be bringing to you over the next few days.

Before the doors opened, ANN Editor-In-Chief Jim Campbell also had the opportunity to sit down Wednesday with AOPA President Phil Boyer to discuss several matters currently in the news concerning general aviation. To kick off our Aero-Cast coverage of AOPA Expo 2005, we'll be posting this interview very soon -- trust us, you don't want to miss it!

This year's AOPA show looks to be amazing. There will be more than 500 exhibitors at the Tampa Convention Center to check out (believe us, there's more than enough room for all of them), as well as a complimentary shuttle to bring spectators out to see the more than 70 aircraft on static display at nearby Peter O. Knight Airport.

Read AND listen about it all on ANN... and then, come and see for yourself! Directions to the Tampa Convention Center are available on the AOPA website, linked below.
