AD: Airbus SAS Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2019-24-10

PRODUCT: Certain Airbus SAS Model A350-941 airplanes.

ACTION: Final rule

SUMMARY: This AD was prompted by an investigation that identified the cargo lining gutter assembly would be unable to drain a certain quantity of water in case of leakage or rupture of certain water pipes.

This AD requires modification of the cargo lining gutter assemblies, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference.

DATES: This AD is effective January 24, 2020.

COST: The FAA estimates that this AD affects 5 airplanes of U.S. registry. Operators may incur the following costs in order to comply with this AD:

  • Labor: 17 work-hours × $85 per hour = $1,445
  • Parts: $12,000
  • Cost per Airplane: $13,445
