Drone Pros Preps Pilots For Business World

Part 107 Certification One Thing, Running Business Another

With the explosion of drones onto the scene a few years ago coupled with the FAA’s Part 107 certification, hundreds of thousands of aspiring drone pilots did the work and got certified – and now there are nearly 439,000 Part 107 certified drone pilots. But running a successful drone service takes a lot more than just knowing how to fly drones.

That’s where Drone Pros comes in. Drone Pros Organization has launched a service to help drone pilots learn what they need to know and offers guidance on how to get there.

Sure, it starts with the Part 107 certification that ensures you have the aeronautical and basic regulatory knowledge. But many if not most drone pilots don’t know a lick about running a drone business or how to operate in a competitive market.

That means positioning oneself for sustainable success through marketing to secure clients, keeping those clients, getting more clients, and the practical knowledge of full regulatory compliance in the real world.

Drone Pros Organization serves as a thought leader and advocate for drone pilots just beginning to put themselves out as service providers. Its mission is to raise the level of professionalism among drone pilots by providing a center for industry knowledge and insights, mentorship, and peer support.

Many new drone pilots may feel isolated in the world of the business side of aerial services such as pricing projects, managing client expectations, and finding professional networks to trade tips, advice, and maybe even help each other individually or through collaborations.

Gene Altman, is the Founder of Drone Pros Organization and is a drone industry strategist. He says, “We see many talented pilots struggling after certification because they lack a roadmap for professional growth. Drone Pros was established not as a product or training course, but as an advocate for these operators, one that guides and inspires them to confidently turn their skills into meaningful careers.”
