First Gulfstream G300 Delivered

Royal Jet Takes Delivery

Gulfstream delivered its first large-cabin, mid-range Gulfstream G300 business jet on August 6. Introduced during last year’s National Business Aviation Association’s Annual Meeting and Convention, the first G300 is entering service with Royal Jet, a charter jet operator located at the Abu Dhabi International Airport in the United Arab Emirates.

"The Gulfstream G300 offered the right range and optimum outfitting flexibility for the types of transportation services Royal Jet provides to the Gulf and the international community," said Capt. Tilmann Gabriel, CEO, Royal Jet. "Also, with its outstanding dispatch reliability and first-class product support, Gulfstream’s G300 became the obvious choice."

Versatile...

Royal Jet’s two G300s, known as a Multi-Purpose Aircraft (MPA), have been outfitted to perform two types of missions – one for VIP/executive charter and the other for medical evacuation transport. Royal Med, Royal Jet’s medevac provider, uses the spacious cabin of the G300 for special accommodations, including two self-contained bed modules equipped with oxygen, compressed air, suction and AC power and a seating area that provides privacy for the patient, family and medical staff. Additionally, Royal Med’s new G300 will feature a patient-loading system that optimizes the patient’s comfort and safety when boarding the aircraft. Royal Jet will take delivery of its second G300 MPA in August.

Last month, the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) validated the G300 as well as its sister ship, the large-cabin, long-range Gulfstream G400. This validation enables the two aircraft models to be certified and registered within the 37 European nations’ aviation authorities that comprise the JAA.

About the G300:

Powered by two Rolls-Royce Tay engines, the large-cabin, mid-range G300 can fly 3,600 nautical miles nonstop, fly at a cruise speed of .80 Mach and reach an altitude of 45,000 feet. The purchase of the G300 includes a 15-year structural warranty -– five years more than is offered by any competitor –- that covers both parts and labor. Component warranties are five years and also include parts and labor.
