Novel's Title Eerie in Accident

Wonder When You'll Miss Me Author Dies

Amanda Davis, whose first novel, Wonder When You'll Miss Me, was recently released, was killed, along with her parents, including her father, the pilot, James Davis. [Ms. Davis also wrote a collection of short stories, Circling the Drain --ed.]

The flight originated at lunchtime, under cloudy skies Saturday, at Asheville (NC), and ended against a mountainside in nearby McDowell County.

The youngest Davis had just attended a book signing. She hailed from Oakland (CA), where she was a teacher.
