EAA Chapter 534 to Host Pancake Breakfast at (LEE) Hangar

Bread and Circuses

On 30 September 2023, EAA’s Chapter 534 will host a fly-in/drive-in pancake breakfast at their hangar at the Leesburg International Airport (LEE) in Leesburg, Florida. In addition to serving a menu of blueberry or plain pancakes, sausage patties, and coffee or juice, the event will afford attendees opportunity to visit the chapter’s hangar, meet its members, and learn about the Squadron 534 youth group.

EAA Chapter 534 brings together a group of individuals who are interested in aviation. Many have years of aviation experience, knowledge and an interest in sharing their hard-won, well-earned knowledge with others. Chapter membership comprises both pilots and mechanics—many of whom have built and some of whom are currently building airplanes.

The fly-in/drive-in pancake breakfast is an enjoyable and calorically-dense means by which fans of all things aerospace can enjoy fellowship, friendship, and share knowledge and flying stories.

Guests arriving by air are congenially invited to park their aircraft on the SunAir ramp. Conversely, parties arriving by automobile are advised to take Wilco Drive off Route 441, then make the first right through the open gate, ahead of which they’ll see the EAA hangar. Both aircraft and automobile parking is plentiful.

Donations for breakfast will be appreciated.

Additional information about EAA Chapter 534 and the 30 September pancake breakfast can be had by contacting Paul Adrian at (352) 250 0055 or ezalpha@aol.com.

Famously headquartered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and boasting a global membership of over two-hundred-thousand pilots, aircraft builders, and aviation enthusiasts, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is among the most influential and beloved of aerospace organizations. Enterprises such as EAA’s Young Eagles Program—which has introduced more than two-million young people to general aviation—have been recognized with honors the likes of induction into the San Diego Air & Space Museum’s International Air & Space Hall of Fame

Worldwide, EAA chapters—which number nearly one-thousand—oversee the operation of the EAA Aviation Museum, and administer initiatives the likes of the Technical Counselor Program, which helps ensure the airworthiness of amateur-built aircraft; and the Flight Advisor Program, by which home aircraft builders may avail themselves of the knowledge and experience of mechanics, fabricators, and tradesmen skilled in aircraft construction.
