Classic Aero-TV: Of Course It's Yellow -- Redbird’s J-3 Cub Simulator

Innovative and Inspirational.... You Can Teach An Old Cub New Tricks!

One of the hands-down favorites of the most recent Oshkosh Fly-In was not a real live airplane.... but a reasonable facsimile thereof.

In fact, Redbird Flight Simulations J-3 Cub Simulator, adorned in stereotypical eye-catching Cub Yellow, wowed the crowds at Oshkosh -- and while it was built strictly as a "One-Of-A Kind" promotional gimmick, it caught on with such fervor that the one they brought was sold within hours of the show's opening and others have asked for Cub-Sims of their own.

"A crazy idea.... that's what it was... but a good one," says Redbird's Charlie Gregoire. Built to demonstrate what modern simulation can do with even the most beloved classics, we were impressed by the realism of the flight modeling we "flew" while trying it out for ourselves... but only after having to wait in line, behind quite a few other pilots, to get our chance to go Cub-flying, Redbird style.

One of the most revolutionary companies in recent memory, Redbird Flight Simulations has pushed the envelope, time and time again, in pioneering new methods to ease the burden of flight training while maximizing its effectiveness. Established in 2006 with the specific purpose of making simulation more accessible to the general aviation industry, Redbird has delivered innovative, reliable and high-quality training devices to flight schools, colleges, universities and individual pilots around the world. With well over 300 devices in service worldwide, Redbird has quickly become the fastest growing and most innovative simulator provider in the industry.
