Clay Lacy Gets FBO Lease At Friedman Memorial

Sustainable Facility Designed To Fit Into Natural Setting

Clay Lacy Aviation announced it has been awarded a lease at the Friedman Memorial Airport (KSUN) in Hailey, Idaho, to build and operate a full-service FBO on a 10-acre site.

The airport and FBO are located about twelve miles from the Sun Valley ski resort and will be serving the resort as well as surrounding communities in the Wood River Valley.

The facility will be designed in a way that reflects the natural environment, using stone and wood beams, and plenty of light. It will also incorporate features for sustainability as well as honoring the Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve using dark-sky friendly lighting. Clay Lacy expects the facility to achieve carbon neutrality and receive LEED Gold certification for sustainability.

Scott Cutshall, Clay Lacy’s President of Real Estate and Sustainability said, “It is an honor to bring a sustainable approach while strengthening the general aviation experience at Friedman Memorial Airport. We understand and value this unique area, having flown to and from SUN for over five decades. That longevity leads us to take a community-focused approach to the design of our facilities and service.”

Clay Lacy Aviation was founded in 1968 by industry pioneer and aviator Clay Lacy and is one of the world’s most experienced operators of private jets. In addition to several FBO locations, many businesses choose the company for aircraft management, charter, maintenance, avionics, and interiors. The company has aircraft operations and regional offices across the U.S.
