Comm1's Newest Navigation CDs are Interactive

Practice Navigating and Talking to ATC on Your PC

Talking as we do to a lot of inactive pilots, we find there are two things that most-intimidate them, about getting back into the cockpit: one is the fear of the medical exam; the other - and this cuts across all age groups - is the fear of the radio work on the check ride. It's one thing to "practice," sitting at the airport, tuned into the tower  or ground frequency; it's something else again, to actually be expected to do the talking.

Some pre-flying practice would calm those jitters a lot (but the tower and ground control aren't usually willing to oblige, unless you're already in an airplane).

New! Navigation Done Right:

In the same vein, ANN Sponsor Comm1™ wants to take the unfamiliarity out of navigation, for students, retreads, or those who are upgrading their navigation skills beyond, "turn north at the barn - you can't miss it."

Comm1™ is pleased to announce the addition of interactive multimedia navigation training CD-ROMs to their line of high-quality aviation educational products. Now you can have effective and engaging training tools for both navigation and radio communications - arguably the two toughest skills for most pilots to learn.

Three Products Cover All The Bases

The Navigation CD-ROM™ will help you learn how to navigate with VOR Navigation, NDB Navigation, GPS Navigation, HSI & RMI Use, and Airspace. It's the handiest product in the market, captivating enough that you lose that "sitting in front of the computer" feeling, and get your brain into "real flying" mode.

The VOR/NDB Simulator™ gives you practice  in navigation, using four simulators: VOR Navigation, HSI Navigation, NDB (ADF) Navigation, and RMI Navigation. If you've been flying the "latest and greatest," and you need to rent, or need to buff up those skills for a BFR -- or if you're just starting, this is really useful.

One of the favorites around here, especially when we're flying into unfamiliar (big) airports, is the Getting Around On The Ground™ CD-ROM. It's a great refresher, and we figure it would be good, too, as a primary-learning tool, for learning methods of preventing runway incursions, as well as understanding technical aspects such as markings, lighting, procedures, and more.

Save Money, Too!

Special $10 Discount on each CD when you purchase 2 or more Comm1 or AvTutorial navigation training products. Save up to $50.00 when you buy all 6 CD-ROMs!
