Branson Air Show Takes On International Feel

Canadian CF-18 Will Join US Military Planes At Inaugural Show

Branson Airport officials announced Monday an addition to the lineup scheduled to perform at the first ever Branson Air Show, May 9 & 10, 2009. The Canadian Air Force will bring a CF-18 Hornet fighter to the event, in celebration of Canada's 100th anniversary of powered flight.

The jet will perform several maneuvers during its eye-opening tactical display. Also added to the air show lineup are a US Navy F-18 Hornet and US Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the Virtual Army Experience (VAE), which provides participants with a virtual test drive of the United States Army. The core of the 9,750-square-foot VAE is the America's Army computer game, rendered with state-of-the-art Army training simulation technology to create a life-size, networked virtual world.

These aircraft and exhibits join an impressive list of America's top air show performers, including the USAF Thunderbirds, US Army Golden Knights, Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, Manfred Radius, Patty Wagstaff, John Klatt (Air National Guard) and many more, all providing stunning displays of aerial acrobatics at this must-see event.

The show will also feature B-17, B-25, P-51 Mustang, Sea Fury, P-47 and Corsair static displays. The Branson Air Show will highlight the grand opening weekend of the Branson Airport, the first privately developed and operated commercial service airport in the United States.
