Capt. Bo Zhang Set To Undertake The Three-Month Journey
Two Chinese entities are set to launch that country's first attempt to circumnavigate the globe using a piston airplane.
Avjet Routing Flight Support and UAERO China are proud to announce a history making project. Captain Bo Zhang will perform China’s first flight around the world in a propeller driven aircraft.
The journey is expected to take 3 months. Avjet Routing says it will demonstrate its capability of delivering global flight support.
Captain Bo Zhang (pictured), an aviation enthusiast, plans to depart in May of next year from Beijing, China. The planned 49 legs will take him and his DA 42 aircraft via Russia to North America. From there he will proceed via Iceland to Europe. Turkey and the CIS will be the last stations on the route before heading back to Beijing, China to complete the circumnavigation.
