AURO AERO Updates On INTEGRAL, ERA Development

Milestones Expected This Year For Two-Seat Family And 19-Seat Regional

AURA AERO, a French developer of two-seat, single engine combustion and electric aircraft as well as a 19-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft in collaboration with Safran, provided an update on its aircraft programs at this week’s EAA AirVenture airshow and fly-in at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH), in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The INTEGRAL two-seat side by side family of aircraft consist of the INTEGRAL R, INTEGRAL S, and INTEGRAL E models:

INTEGRAL R is a tailwheel model powered by a 210 hp Lycoming engine. It is certified in Europe by EASA and is expected to receive U.S. FAA certification this year. It will be used for advanced and aerobatic pilot training. Deliveries began in Europe in April 2025.

INTEGRAL S is also a tailwheel model powered by a 180 hp Lycoming engine, with EASA certification expected this year and certification by the FAA in 2026. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2026.

INTEGRAL E is powered by an all-electric Safran ENGINeUS motor and will be available as a tailwheel or nosewheel model. Both EASA and FAA certifications are expected by the end of 2026, with deliveries slated to start in 2027.

AURA AERO is opening its first U.S. facility this year. It is supported by $3.4 million in funding by Space Florida and will be a 10,000 sf assembly and delivery facility on the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Campus in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The company’s ERA project is the 19-seat regional hybrid-electric aircraft that will also be supported by Space Florida with up to $200 million for the construction of its headquarters and a 500,000 sf factory dedicated to the production of ERA.

ERA will be powered by 8 electric ENGINeUS motors developed by Safran, and two SAF-compatible turbogenerators. Power will automatically alternate between hybrid and electric according to the flight profile and its requirements during different phases. Its design range is 1,500 km / 900 nm.

The aircraft is versatile and can be configured for passenger, business aviation, cargo, or special missions. Its CO2 emissions will be up to 80% less than combustion engines in its class.

AURO AERO has an order book of over 650 Letters of Intent for ERA, valued at over $10.5 billion, and secured five new customers at the recent Paris Air Show in June. The ERA aircraft is targeted for first flight in 2027 with entry into service anticipated by 2030.
