Thrust Flight Expands With A&P, Dispatch Training

Offering Three Paths Into Rewarding Aviation Careers

Thrust Flight, a Dallas, Texas-based provider of flight training through its Zero Time to Airline pilot training program, announced the expansion of its platforms in aviation education by launching a new Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic School in Conroe, Texas, as well as a new Aircraft Dispatcher program at its campuses in Addison and Denison, Texas.

With these new programs, Thrust Flight becomes a one-stop-shop for all three primary training avenues leading directly to careers in aviation.

Patrick Arnzen, CEO and Founder of Thrust Flight said, “Aviation doesn’t just rely on pilots; it’s powered by a team of skilled professionals on the ground and behind the scenes. Our mission is to open doors across the entire aviation workforce, from the cockpit to the control room to the hangar. We want students to know that if you’re serious about aviation, we’ll turn your goals into a flight plan for success.”

The new Thrust Flight Institute of Maintenance began its inaugural class of A&P mechanic students on July 16, 2025. The FAA Part 147 program is a 12-month series of classroom and hands-on training that prepares students for their FAA A&P certification.

In contrast to other maintenance training programs that last from 24 to over 30 months, Thrust Flight’s one year intensive training gives students experience with real aircraft components, one-on-one instruction, and small cohorts of just 15 students.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says that aircraft mechanics earn a median annual salary of $75,270. The credential is known to be in high demand across all segments of aviation including commercial airlines, independent maintenance organizations, and charted and cargo operators.

The FAA-approved Part 65 Aircraft Dispatcher certification program is a five-week course that can be shortened to three weeks with any prior experience. It trains students on an often-overlooked yet critical role in commercial and private aviation. Dispatchers coordinate flight plans, weather monitoring, and ensuring flight crews are present and equipped with everything needed for safe and compliant flights.

The first cohort will begin in January 2026, after instructor Rick Sanchez launched with an internal beta class in July.
