Mooney Delivers First New Acclaim At EAA AirVenture

New Owner Was Highest Bidder On The Airplane, Proceeds Go To Mooney Museum.

Dr. Jerry Chen, CEO of Mooney International Corporation, did not hand the keys of the first new Acclaim to come off the production line since being reintroduced to its new owner.

The winner of the auction for for the first new airplane off the assembly line since restart ... Ricardo Pascoe, was unable to be at AirVenture to claim his new airplane. So instead, his flight instructor got the honors during a ceremony at Mooney’s tent at the show.

Pascoe won the airplane during Mooney’s on line auction, which has been open since April.  He was one of 29 people bidding out of over one hundred that expressed interest.

Mooney’s CEO also announced  ten new orders for new Acclaims and the opening of their China office in Beijing, China and also 3 new orders from the US.

All the proceeds from the auction are going to the Mooney Museum in Kerrville, TX, and Mooney COO Money, Tom Bowen showed artist concept drawings of the new museum to the crowd.
