CAE SimuFlite Adds Two More Simulators To Morristown Training Center

CAE’s new business aviation training center in Morristown, New Jersey, will initially house two full-flight simulators in addition to the Falcon 7X and the Falcon 900 EX/EASy and 2000 EX/EASy simulators already announced. The CAE-built Sikorsky S-76 helicopter simulator and Gulfstream IV full-flight simulator will be moved to Morristown from their current location in Dallas, Texas, in order to better meet market demand.

The Morristown center, the future site of the world’s first training program for the Dassault Falcon 7X business jet as well as Falcon 900 EX/EASy and 2000 EX/EASy training, is currently under construction following ground-breaking at the site earlier this fall. The installation of the full-flight simulators will begin during summer 2006, and the center is expected to be operational for training later that year. It will initially feature a total of six simulator bays, with the potential for future expansion.

“CAE’s global training network allows us to bring our training programs and customers closer together. There is a high concentration of business aircraft operators in the Northeastern U.S. region, so it made sense for CAE to locate its new business aviation training center there,“ said Jeff Roberts, CAE’s Group President, Civil Training and Services.

Once the center has been completed, CAE will operate a total of four major business aviation training centers strategically located around the world: CAE SimuFlite in Dallas; this new Morristown, NJ center; Emirates-CAE Flight Training in Dubai, which CAE operates in conjunction with Emirates Airlines; and CAE’s centre in Burgess Hill, U.K., the future site for Falcon 7X training in Europe.

The Morristown center will bring to more than 60 the total number of full-flight simulators serving business aircraft operators within CAE’s global network of 100+ full-flight simulators, including Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) and Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) simulators.
