Avcenter Pocatello Unveils New Hangar Facility

Gem State FBO Adds Jewel of a Hangar

Founded in 1979 and headquartered on Idaho’s Pocatello Regional Airport (PIH),  Avcenter is a full-service FBO with foci in air charters, flight instruction, aircraft maintenance and rental, and fuel sales.

In October 2023, Avcenter completed a new state-of-the-art, thirty-thousand-square-foot, heated hangar facility.

Avcenter Pocatello Director of Operations Melvin Wagoner stated: “This new hangar underscores our dedication to delivering top-tier services to our valued customers while serving as an economic engine for southeast Idaho. We understand the distinct needs of business aviators; our expanded facility is a testament to our commitment to not only meet, but also exceed those needs.”

Sufficiently capacious to accommodate aircraft as large as Gulfstream’s G700 and Bombardier’s Global 7500, the new hangar offers prospective occupants short- and long-term lease options.

The new facility supplements Avcenter’s Pocatello’s extant amenities and offerings—which include a full-service FBO; expert ground-handling capabilities; a spacious ramp; exclusive fuel discounts for hangar customers (by dint of Avfuel’s contract fuel program; and one of the largest, most comprehensive maintenance facilities in the northwestern U.S.

Strategically situated between Wyoming’s Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) and Idaho’s Hailey, Idaho’s Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN), Avcenter Pocatello enables aircraft bound to or from the antecedent destinations rapid repositioning and ample alternate airport requirements. Moreover, Avcenter Pocatello offers travelers a landing-fee-free experience.

Avcenter Pocatello’s shareholders, Melvin Wagoner, John Blakley, and Shane Palagi, are qualified aviation professionals holding college degrees and or FAA certifications appropriate to their stations and responsibilities. The trio is directly and perpetually involved in the outfit’s daily business operations, which they ensure are conducted at the highest levels of expertise, professionalism, service, and hospitality.
