APFA Executive Committee Approves Pay Raises For AA Flight Attendants

Will Receive Increases Up To 6.5 Percent

In a meeting held in Euless, TX, the Executive Committee of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants voted to accept pay raises offered by American Airlines.

“These pay raises are happening because our unified and collective voices made the case that the industry’s largest airline needs to value its workers and offer a compensation package in line with other major carriers,” said APFA National President Bob Ross.

“There is much work ahead,” said Ross. “but this is a positive sign and a step in the right direction that American management has listened to the front-line employees who take care of passengers every day, often under very difficult conditions.”

Flight attendants at American will receive pay raises of between 4.2 to 6.5 percent, depending on seniority, in addition to other scheduled wage adjustments.
