The 3-Pack is Back! Trusted, 2-inch Standbys Go Digital

The Flex 3-Pack of digital instruments will be on display in the Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics and True Blue Power booth, #202, throughout AEA, April 24 – 27 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics, a technology company and world leader in the design and manufacture of aerospace products, today introduced an all-digital version of the company’s popular 2-inch standby package. The new, digital standby family features the company’s Flex® Attitude Indicator, Flex® Counter Drum Encoding Altimeter, and Flex® Airspeed Indicator. All three instruments are supported by an Approved Model List (AML) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) covering more than 180 aircraft models.
“Our original mechanical, 3-Pack was the most trusted, Type Certified and STC’d standby of its day. There are thousands of these instruments still flying on aircraft and they’re ready for an upgrade,” said Van Winter, Director of Aftermarket Sales and Support for Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics. “The new Flex digital standbys can be easily installed in one day,” Winter continued. “There’s no need to cut the panel and you can utilize the existing secondary or emergency bus. Less down time means more flying time.”
