Aero-News Quote Of The Day (11.18.05)

Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

"I say you're throwing darts at the pilots because they're smaller than you are and you think you can stomp on them. That may or may not be true. I don't think this matter will be resolved until I hear what the pilots have to say and what you have to say."

Source: US Bankruptcy Court Judge Prudence Carter Beatty to lawyers representing Delta Air Lines, during opening arguments Wednesday in the airline's request to axe its collective bargaining agreement with the Air Line Pilots Association. Delta is hoping to save $325 million by voiding the current contract with its pilots.
