EUROCONTROL, JAATO Sign MoU Forming Strategic Collaboration

Enhancing Training In Aviation Management & Regulations

EUROCONTROL’s Aviation Learning Center and the Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation (JAATO) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to formalize a strategic collaboration intended to enhance aviation learning and develop aviation training programs.

The MoU brings together the core strengths of both organizations, combining EUROCONTROL’s expertise in air traffic management with JAATO’s foundation in aviation regulatory training.

EUROCONTROL is a European civil-military organization dedicated to supporting European aviation. JAA Training Organization is a Dutch non-profit, self-financing organization and the Associated Body of the European Civil Aviation Conference with a history of 50+ years training in the aviation industry.

Raúl Medina, EUROCONTROL Director General said, “Fostering collaboration across the aviation ecosystem and meeting the evolving needs of the industry is central to the work of our Aviation Learning Centre. This new partnership with JAATO will enable us jointly to strengthen our support to European aviation with a new range of high-quality courses, tools and services. Through this MoU, we will maximise synergies, and deliver innovative solutions that advance safety and efficiency in our sector.”

Paula Vieira de Almeida, JAA-TO Chief Executive Officer said, “Partnering with EUROCONTROL to deliver high-impact, comprehensive joint training solutions will provide significant added value to the global aviation community. A first focus will be to develop joint training programmes in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) domain highlighting our combined expertise in this innovative category. Such hamornised approach of our two top organisations will empower aviation professionals to gain lasting competence and foster a safe and secure air transport industry.”
