The League Currently Consists Of 30583 Registered Drone Racers And 760 Global Chapters
As if dealing with the issues surrounding a global pandemic wasn't enough, the folks at MultiGP had the venue for their upcoming championships sold out from under them.
MultiGP's Chris Thomas noted that, "We are saddened to announce that the venue for the 2020 MultiGP Championship has been changed to Valkaria Airport in Palm Bay, Florida. MultiGP was extremely disappointed to find out that Daytona Stadium recently changed management, which voided our agreement. With just over two weeks to go before the Championship it was not possible for us to secure another stadium for the event. Fortunately, we do have permission to use an alternate location in nearby Palm Bay which is also in proximity to Orlando Airport, and while it is not a stadium, it will allow us to run a viable Championship."
The address of the new venue is: Valkaria Airport-X59, Pilots' Pl, Grant-Valkaria, FL 32949.
MultiGP highly recommends that those planning to attend the event make adjustments to lodging plans right away, as some AirBnBs,and the like, may have two week cancellation policies.
Thomas adds that, "On behalf of the entire MultiGP team, we apologize for this late and unfortunate change in plans, but we are confident that neither this nor the many other challenges presented to us all in 2020 will stop us from having a great Championship and crowning a new (or three-time) Drone Racing World Champion!"
MultiGP is a global, professional, drone racing league with hundreds of chapters internationally including locations such as Australia, Asia, South Africa and Europe. There are no other drone racing leagues with the amount of registered pilots found within the hobby drone community. The league currently consists of 30583 Registered Drone Racers and 760 Global Chapters.
