TFR Game Gets Worse: VP Cheney Visit Prompts Wyoming TFR

Temporary flight restrictions will be in effect when Vice President Richard Cheney travels to his Jackson Hole, Wyoming, residence for the week beginning May 23.

That day, ATC permission is required from Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) for flights within 4 nm and <6000 agl of the airport from 3:15-3:45 p.m. local. Another 4 nm, <6000 agl TFR begins at 3:15 on May 23 and runs through 10:30 a.m. local on May 30, centered on the Cheney residence.

The airport is not within this TFR. Pilots are to avoid the Cheney residence unless first receiving U.S. Secret Service authorization by calling 307-732-6619.
