SmartSky Adds Dassault 900 STC to Roster

400+ Jets Gain ATG Internet Option

SmartSky Networks announced the completion of an STC for the installation of their flagship hardware system on the Dassault Falcon 900 series aircraft.

The inflight air-to-ground (ATG) system provides high-speed internet in flight, retaining uninterrupted connection with a network of distributed towers from takeoff to landing. The perennially popular Falcon 900 series joins the expansive list of Smartsky-ready aircraft, paving the way for 400 operators to provide in-flight connectivity to their passengers. The increasing shift to remote work has seen a slow shift in the way work is done throughout the economy, with many beginning to see their flight time as workable, monetizable hours with the right tools.

Demanding video calling, virtual meetings, and picky always-on VPNs ensure that high speed internet demand continues to increase in the bizjet world, but SmartSky CEO Dave Helfgott, CEO of SmartSky Networks, said that the company's fortunes have continued to improve with the ever-increasing demands for internet access by all demographics. “Since SmartSky’s next generation service for business aviation became available nationwide, it has continued to impress, even in the most demanding use cases -- from executives having full access to office applications and VPNs to teens using FaceTime and TikTok. Bringing SmartSky to Dassault Falcon airframes is an important addition to our available STCs for business aviation aircraft. In addition, we have multiple new STCs in progress and we are laser focused on expanding availability to meet escalating demand.”
