Sporty’s Continues Support For AEA’S Scholarship Program

Lends Hand With $2,000 Donation

The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) Educational Foundation has awarded nearly $1 million to students seeking a career in aircraft electronics and aviation maintenance. Sporty's, a long-time supporter of the Educational Foundation, is now furthering its commitment to AEA's scholarship program with a donation of one Sporty's Complete Private Pilot Training Course on Interactive DVD for every AEA Aviation Scholarship winner.

Sporty's COMPLETE Private Pilot Flight Training Course on Interactive DVD Video takes students through their training from start to finish in the same order that their flight instructor will teach them in the aircraft. Dynamic in-flight demonstrations and 3-D graphics will teach students everything they need to know to become a proficient pilot.

"Avionics and maintenance technicians who are pilots bring added value to their employers and to their customers," said Sporty's Founder and Chairman Hal Shevers. "Perhaps this course will be the impetus for these deserving scholarship winners to pursue their recreational or private certificates."

Sporty's Cincinnati Avionics also offers, through the Foundation, its annual Avionics Technician and Aviation Maintenance scholarship each year, valued at $2,000.

The deadline to apply is February 15, 2005. Scholarships will be awarded during opening ceremonies at the 2005 AEA Convention and Trade Show in Dallas, TX.
