Customized Data Bundle Now Available At Time Of Delivery
An agreement has been signed between Jeppesen and Diamond Aircraft to deliver pre-selected Jeppesen NavData and digital charts at the time of delivery, as part of the purchase process of new Diamond aircraft.
“Adding to the excitement of delivering new Diamond aircraft to our customers, having pre-loaded Jeppesen data on board provides additional value with the purchase experience,” said Christian Dries, CEO, Diamond Aircraft Austria. “Jeppesen NavData and charts provide the foundation for pilots safely reaching their destinations on a global scale and we are pleased to work together to provide this data service that allows pilots to take to the skies.”
In 2017, Jeppesen flight information will be on board with the purchase of Diamond DA40, DA42, and DA62 models from Diamond Aircraft Austria and will be ready for immediate use in flight. In addition to Jeppesen navigation data, Diamond aircraft equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics will receive a PilotPak data bundle that also includes supplemental databases, including obstacle, terrain, SafeTaxi and airport diagrams. Upgrades for existing DA40, DA42, and DA62 customers are available on request.
“Partnering with Diamond Aircraft combines industry leading airplane design, manufacturing and data services in a turn-key experience at the time of delivery,” said Reggie Arsenault, director, Jeppesen General Aviation Client Management. “This on-board service simplifies the flying process and eliminates the need for pilots to go through the data purchase process on their own.”
Jeppesen NavData is developed from a comprehensive aviation database, which is composed of more than one million records. To ensure accuracy, Jeppesen flight information analysts edit and verify approximately 150,000 database transactions generated from worldwide aviation data source documents during every 28-day revision cycle.
