Embraer Opens 3rd Round of Scholarships for Women’s Tech Careers

Gama Academy to Provide 50 Students with 4-Month Technical Course

Embraer Social Tech Careers has opened registrations for its career-advancing technical courses in Brazil, electing to restrict all 50 slots to women in order to “generate opportunities and professional inclusion”.

Accepted students will learn “how to work with data analysis and the Python programming language, which has applications in data science, artificial intelligence, and automation” throughout the 4-month-long training course. Those who complete the training will “join Embraer and partner companies’ talent databases in future selection processes.” Like so many similar accelerated training scenarios, the course will “use a boot camp methodology,” which will “include remote immersive training to develop skills and competencies” along the way.

“Embraer Social Tech combines education and innovation to contribute to the development of a more inclusive society,” says Andreza Alberto, Embraer’s Vice President of People, ESG and Corporate Communications. “We are very proud of this affirmative action focused on quality education for women who want to enter the technology market.”

Applications are being accepted through September 3rd, 2023.
