Airbus Closes In On Annual Delivery Goal

507 Aircraft Handed Over So Far This Year

Airbus announced its deliveries in September set a record for the month with 73 aircraft handed off to 41 customers. Even though orders slacked off in September, third-quarter deliveries were strong and the manufacturer has delivered 507 aircraft so far in 2025, which is roughly on track to hit its goal of 820 for the year.

Of those 507 aircraft, 454 were single-aisle jets, 33 were in the A350 series, and 20 were from the A330 family. More than half consisted of the single-aisle A321neo series.

Despite a slowing in September that saw just 10 gross orders, significantly down from the 99 posted in August, Airbus has recorded 610 firm orders thus far in 2025. Those include sizable deals with Avolon and BOC Aviation.

Of those orders, single-aisle jets accounted for 411, as well as 90 of the A330 series and 109 for the A350 line. Some orders were cancelled but the net number of aircraft on order – 514 – still indicates strong performance going into the fourth quarter of 2025.

Industry analysts are anticipating that Airbus will deliver more than 70 for each of the final three months this year, which would put the annual number over 800 aircraft to customers globally. That number is what the company announced during its mid-year presentation on July 30, 2025.
