Aerial Firefighter Ready for 2023

Dauntless Air Caps Exercise with 99.3% Fleet Availability for Wildfire Season

Aerial firefighting company Dauntless Air announced their readiness for the 2023 wildfire season following a successful excercize for the whole team, from ground staff to pilots.

Dauntless now sports a fleet of 17 Fire Bosses, double the number of its operational assets 5 years prior. Recently, the company tested out 9 of their water-scooping aircraft at the company's 2-week annual training, allowing company personnel to practice a high-tempo, fleetwide, integrated operation. Thanks to a number of tenured, experienced staff throughout its management, Dauntless has been able to snare a 99.3% fleet readiness rate since 2018.

“We aim to be the safest, most effective and most reliable ally possible in the battle against wildfires,” said Brett L’Esperance, Dauntless CEO.

“We do that by attracting and retaining team members who identify with our core values of service, teamwork and professionalism; continuously expanding and upgrading our Fire Boss fleet so we’re bringing the best tools to every mission; and investing in our extensive company training program that has set the standard globally for Fire Boss excellence.”
