Robinson Helicopters Delivers Two R44s To New Dealer

CG Helicopters Based In South Florida

CG Helicopters, Robinson Helicopter Company’s recently named dealer in South Florida, will soon take delivery of two new R44 helicopters: a Raven II (N3024L) and a Raven I (N3245S). The helicopters are on display in the Robinson booth at Heli-Expo 2007, now underway in Orlando, FL.

Both aircraft were flown from the Robinson factory in Southern California.

CG Helicopters purchased the new R44 Ravens for training and demonstration uses. Robinson told ANN Wednesday that CG Helicopters favors the R44 for training due its forgiving hydraulic controls, good autorotation characteristics, and fast cruise speed.

The R44 Raven II is painted taupe frost pearl metallic with deep jewel green trim and has a tan leather interior. It is outfitted with air conditioning, Garmin GPS 500 pilot-side console, artificial horizon, and Garmin GNS420 GPS. The R44 Raven I is finished in Robinson white, trimmed in dark green, and has a tan velour interior. It is equipped with a King KY197A radio, and Garmin 150XL GPS.

Owned and managed by David Clark and Rick Guthery, CG Helicopters has more than 35 years in the helicopter maintenance business, and is well known for its mechanical expertise. Also, David Clark has an established relationship with Robinson Helicopter Company having been the Director of Maintenance of a factory-authorized R44 and R22 Service Center since 1997.

With the addition of the new R44 helicopters, CG Helicopters now owns and operates five Robinson helicopters (four R44s and one R22). Currently, they maintain 14 Robinson helicopters in the Miami area. CG Helicopters is located at the Tamiami Airport, a multi-service airport serving Miami, South Beach, and the Florida Keys. Their 5,000 square-foot facility includes a classroom, office space, and hangar.
