Women In Corporate Aviation Announces Spring 2019 Scholarships

Over $10K In Scholarship Opportunities Available To Business Aviation Professionals

The Women in Corporate Aviation (WCA) association announces that it is accepting member applications through January 15th, 2019. Over $10,000 in scholarship money can be used for leadership development, training and certification purposes.

“The WCA Scholarships are available only through the generosity of our donors,” said WCA President Andrea Garcia. “This is a tremendous opportunity for our WCA members, and our aviation community, to enhance their careers”.

The following corporate aviation scholarships and their sponsors include:

  • Dassault Falcon Jet Corporation Scholarship (Value $1,000)
  • DaVinci Inflight Training Institute: Butler Service in The Sky Scholarship (Value $1,555)
  • DaVinci Inflight Training Institute: The Culinary Experience Elite Scholarship (Value $4,775)
  • KAL Aviation Services Ltd. Maintenance Technician Training Scholarship (Value $1,000)
  • USC Viterbi Human Factors in Aviation Safety Scholarship (Value $2,500)

Please note, scholarship recipients will be notified on February 15th. The scholarship awards ceremony will be held on March 15th, during the 30th Annual International Women in Aviation Conference in Long Beach, CA.

WCA Scholarship Rules and Information:

  • Applicants must be a current, dues-paying WCA member. To join or renew your WCA membership, click here. Membership to WAI is recommended.
  • Applications must include a 500-word essay, two letters of recommendation, and include certificates, transcripts, and resumes, as applicable.
  • WCA is not responsible for housing, transportation or other associated fees.
  • The awards must be used within one calendar year.
  • Only two scholarships may be applied for by an individual.
