Hawker 800XP – Collins Pro Line 21 Certification Pending in Brazil

The world’s best-selling mid-size business jet is about to get better in Brazil.

The Hawker 800XP equipped with Collins Pro Line 21 avionics has received export approval from the Centro Tecnico Aeroespacial (CTA) and the follow-up certification is expected soon. The first delivery occurred in December to a customer in Sao Paulo.

The Hawker 800XP’s popularity stems from its versatility, roomy interior and dependability in the mid-size range. In 2001, Raytheon Aircraft certified the aircraft with Collins Pro Line 21 avionics, prompting one industry analyst to describe the aircraft as “good for another 20 years.” Deliveries began in 2002 and to date, 90 Hawker 800XP with Collins Pro Line 21 avionics have been delivered. Approximately 70 Hawkers fly in the Latin American fleet.

“The beauty of the Hawker 800XP is that it’s proven its value by being a flexible, no-compromising workhorse for companies throughout the world,” said Brad Hatt, President/General Manager of the Hawker Division of Raytheon Aircraft.

The Collins Pro Line 21 avionics, now standard equipment, brings state-of-the-art avionics to the flight deck, including 8x10-inch flat panel displays, dual AHRS, dual FMS, and digital autopilot.

The Hawker 800XP offers the largest cabin in its class, with typical seating layouts for six to 10 passengers in a variety of configurations. The cabin provides headroom and the ability to walk around with ease during flight. The aircraft is fully furnished with hot and cold galley facilities, an airliner-style toilet compartment and a baggage compartment that is fully accessible in flight. The Hawker 800XP is equipped with Honeywell TFE 731-5BR turbofan engines.
