closing stages of a six-month tour for the members of the 354th
Expeditionary Fighter Squadron in Afghanistan on New Year's
Day.
All Traning Completed, Operations Become Official At Fort
Campbell
A fifth U.S. Army unit has fielded the CH-47F Chinook
helicopter. The 6th Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, based
at Fort Campbell, KY, completed all required training and
officially assumed operation of 12 CH-47F Chinooks on December 8,
Boeing said in a news release Wednesday.
"Nonkinetic Force" Provides Electronic Support To Troops On The
Ground
EA-6B Prowlers assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron 135 deploy
daily from the Nimitz flight deck, jamming electronic signals in
support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
