Montaer Releases 4-Spot MC-04

Family-Sized Aircraft Arrives from Brazilian LSA Manufacturer

Montaer Aeronaves unveiled a follow-up to its 2-seat MC-01 Aircraft, with a 4-seater sporting IFR-ready avionics and a parachute. The all-metal, high-wing, tricycle geared MC-04 sports a Rotax 916 iS with all 160 turbocharged ponies under the hood, granting it a 132-knot cruise for 800 nautical miles. A constant-speed prop helps to put the finishing touch on a nice little package from a firm ordinarily associated with 2-seater LSA’s.

Gyro Revolution Opens Florida Operation

New York Operation to Relaunch Brookhaven Location

Gyro Revolution is a Gyroplane sales, service, and training concern. The Ronkonkoma, New York-based company is among the U.S.’s premier gyroplane flight-training institutions and offers multiple levels of gyroplane certification. Gyro Revolution recently opened a satellite operation in Florida’s Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. The new facility is located on Hollywood, Florida’s North Perry Airport (HWO) and offers demo and training flights in the Cavalon 915iS gyroplane—a two-place aircraft built by Hildesheim, Germany’s AutoGyro.

Lost Hiker Found with Help from Drones

A Communal Effort

An 18-year-old hiker gone missing in North Carolina’s Crowders Mountain State Park was rescued by Gaston County police officers. park rangers, his fellow-hikers, and a number of drones. The young man was reported missing on Wednesday, 16 August and may have spent the night in the wilderness—so infer park rangers who happened across his vehicle in the state park’s parking-lot and commenced searching immediately thereafter.
