Concerns Raised About Navigation For Recreational Boating
File this one under "it's not just us." BoatUS, a lobbying
organization for the recreational marine industry, has joined the
growing chorus against plans by LightSquared to establish wireless
broadband data services on frequencies that testing shows will
interfere with GPS operation.
You have to give FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt credit for
guts... as he stood in front of well over a hundred of the finest
aviation educators and instructors in the nation and took
questions... no holds barred. It was fun, gutsy and tremendously
educational... and pretty darned frank, too. The questions followed
his address entitled, “Meeting the Training Challenges of the
Second Century of Flight” on the second day of the two-day
SAFE Symposium.
AvConnect on Thursday unveiled its capabilities to automatically
upload, analyze and populate flight data from the G1000 directly
into their customers' accounts.
