New Rules Deal Primarily With Communications, Speed
On July 1, the FAA announced a number of changes to the
restrictions governing the Special Flight Rules Area surrounding
Washington, DC, effective September 1.
Pilot Reported Symptoms Associated With A Heart Attack
A Cessna 182P went down about two miles short of the Catalina
Airport in the Sky (KAVX) runway after the pilot reported he was
possibly suffering a heart attack. He was fatally injured in the
accident, though it has not been determined whether the impact or
his medical condition was the cause.
