The purpose of The First Across Organization is to spread the
history of the NC-4, the U.S. Navy flying boat, which was the first
aircraft to successfully cross the Atlantic Ocean... or any ocean
for that matter.
A type of aircraft construction in which part of the wing structure
is sealed and used as a fuel tank. Wet wings are more properly
called integral fuel tanks.
