Leonardo Opens US Helicopter Training Academy

Part Of An $80 Million Investment In United States Operations

Leonardo has opened their new Helicopter Training Academy, located on their existing campus in northeast Philadelphia that also includes production, support and administrative functions for the United States. The new Academy was first announced at the 2019 Heli-Expo in Atlanta and, despite the challenges of Covid-19, was able to open two years later, on schedule. The new Academy in Philadelphia is part of an $80 million investment in United States operations that will provide training services for a growing demand and need for pilots, cabin crews and maintenance technicians across North and South America.

The 110,000-Square-Foot Complex Is Set To Open In Summer 2022

FlightServ has announced the groundbreaking of its new corporate jet facility on Thursday, April 29. Set to open in summer 2022, the 110,000-square-foot complex situated on 22 acres will feature a modern FBO facility, build-to-suit office space and an 80,000-square-foot heated hangar to accommodate the FBO's growing operations. The hangar includes 28-foot high doors, enabling the structure to house all private aircraft operations-including those with the latest models of Bombardier Global and Gulfstream jets-looking for prime real estate in a desirable Northeast location.
