Rolls Royce Revises Service Bulletin On Trent 900 Engine
In the ongoing Australian Transportation Safety Bureau (ATSB)
investigation of an engine failure involving a Qantas A380 aircraft
over Batam Island, the ATSB issued a safety recommendation that
identified a potential manufacturing defect of the Trent 900 engine
installed in some A380 aircraft.
Contract For Research Into Cleaner, More Fuel-Efficient
Airliners
NASA has awarded a third contract for studies designed to
identify advanced concepts for airliners that could enter service
in 2025, fly with less noise, cleaner exhaust and lower fuel
