Expansion In Civil, Military Markets Welcome Amid NASA

Alliant Techsystems is one of the companies hardest hit by
changes in NASA's policy direction, but ATK got the chance to
celebrate on Monday. The occasion was the the grand opening of the
company's new Aircraft Commercial Center of Excellence in
Clearfield, UT, less than one year after the announcement of the
expansion.
Meeting In Japan Attended By Senior Representatives Of Ten
Agencies
Senior managers representing 10 space agencies from around the
world met in Kyoto, Japan Tuesday to advance the Global Exploration
Roadmap for coordinated space exploration. During the past year,
the International Space Exploration Coordination Group (ISECG) has
developed a long-range human exploration strategy.
Roscosmos Says Earliest Possible Launch Date Is Now In October
At The Earliest
The Russian Space agency Roscosmos has pushed back the next
manned launch of a Soyuz spacecraft following the loss of the
Progress 44 cargo ship earlier this month. The unmanned mission
failed to reach orbit when the third stage boosters did not
separate from the payload, and the vehicle impacted the ground in
Siberia.
